Assessments & treatments

All bookings for an individual treatment or initial assessment should be made directly by the client or Mary via the acuity booking site.

Payment is required at time of booking.

Cancellation policy for assessments & treatments

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of the appointment time will be charged the full fee for the booked session.

What to expect at your initial assessment:

  • On arrival please go to the side gate “The Studio” and ring the bell.

  • Please arrive no earlier then 5 minutes before your scheduled time, as there is no waiting room at the studio.

  • At the session Mary will discuss in detail your symptoms and medical history.

  • Mary will then do a physical examination that requires examining your posture, relevant joints and movements.

  • Mary will then explain her findings and discuss with you a plan of action for treatment.

Follow up treatments

After an initial assessment you might need a follow up treatment session.

These sessions can last upto 55 mins and may involve manual therapy, exercise therapy, clinical pilates, education and advice.

Please bring to your appointment:

• Appropriate dress (e.g. shorts if examination of lower limbs is required, or vest top if examination of your upper limbs is required).

• Completed health questionnaire

• Referral letter from your GP, Physiotherapist, or other referring professional, including their contact details. (Note: A referral is not essential.)

• All reports of x-rays, scans, etc., relating to your symptoms.

Matwork classes:

All new clients who attend Mary’s mat classes are required to be cleared by their GP or health care practitioner to ensure that they are safe to exercise before joining.

When you attend any of Mary’s Pilates/ Yoga classes you agree to inform Mary if you feel unwell at anytime during the class. You take part in the class at your own risk.

To reserve your mat space, payment must be made by the booking deadline.

There are no refunds for missed classes, and they cannot be carried over to the next term.

Treatments & live mat class etiquette:

Do not attend a treatment or class if:

  • You are unwell

  • You have been advised by a medical practitioner to not attend

    When attending the studio you must:

  • Wait outside until invited in (Please do not arrive early)

    On entering clinic you must:

  • Remove outside coats & shoes and place in relevant storage

  • Have a clean pair of socks to wear in the studio

When you subscribe to the online Clinical Pilates Studio on Demand video library you are agreeing to a monthly rolling subcription fee of £19.99 per month.

Clinical Pilates Studio on Demand - Cancellation policy:

You are able to cancel your subscription to the Clinical Pilates Studio on Demand at anytime by going into your account settings and into the billings section.

Here you will be able to cancel your monthly subscription.

There will be no refund if you cancel mid month.

Workshop bookings:

To confirm a place on one of our workshops, payment must be made in full at time of booking via our website.

Cancellation policy for all workshops: There are no refunds on workshops once booked, you may however transfer to another of Mary's workshops within a year of payment if you have given 48 hours notice before the enrolled workshop begins..

Course enrolment:

To enrol on the “reconnect to your pelvic floor” online 4 week course or workshop, payment must be made in full at time of booking via our course platform. Cancellation policy - There are no refunds once you have enrolled. Failure to complete the course will not result in refund or an extension of the course (The 4 week online course is available to view for 4 months from date of purchase).

Teacher Training online CPD courses, LAB’s and workshops:

Teacher CPD; pre requisites:

Teacher CPD workshops require attendees to have passed a certified Level 3 or equivalent Pilates /Yoga teacher training course or be a qualified Allied health Professional before enrolling. The workshops also require the attendee to have a basic understanding of anatomy & physiology as well as an ability to teach movement.
